Zooey Deschanel
Bangs are practically actress Zooey Deschanel's trademark look, and there's a good reason for that: she looks great with them! The actress, who will next appear on TV in the new FOX comedy The New Girl, has had some form of bangs, whether side-swept or her more signature bluntly cut style, for years. Now, I like when actresses switch it up, but sometimes a celeb looks so good with a certain style, as the saying goes, you don't fix what's not broken. Zooey and her bangs are a perfect case of that.
Britt Robertson
Britt Robertson, star of the upcoming CW show The Secret Circle, is the newest member of the bangs brigade, but this is one case where she might be better off ditching the look. Overall her hair looks somewhat color-damaged and the all-too-obvious extensions don't really help, but focusing on the bangs themselves: the fringe doesn't really blend very well with the rest of her hair and every time I've seen her with the style, the bangs have looked somewhat clumpy.
Bella Thorne
Keeping with the young crowd, Disney starlet Bella Thorne falls on the exact opposite end of the bangs spectrum as Britt. Bella's bangs blend perfectly with her fiery red hair, which in and of itself looks very healthy. I see no reason why the young up-and-comer shouldn't stick with this look for the foreseeable future. No reason at all.
Lea Michele
This may come as a surprise to some, but I'm actually not a fan of Glee actress Lea Michele's bangs. Don't get me wrong, she doesn't look that bad with them, it's just that whenever I've seen her without bangs, she simply looks much better. I'll give her a pass since her bangs seem so fitting for her Glee character and do tend to make her look younger (always a plus when you're playing a high schooler), but I'd like to see her ditch the look when her time on the show comes to an end.
Tyra Banks
One of the things bangs are really good at is hiding a large forehead. There's no more perfect example of that than Tyra Banks. 'Nuff said.
Olivia Wilde
When I first saw Olivia Wilde with bangs my immediate thought was, "She should have done this years ago!" Besides hiding a large forehead, bangs are also great at drawing attention to the eyes. And boy does Olivia have gorgeous eyes. She also has a very strong bone-structure, which the bangs really soften. I, for one, hope she keeps the look for a while.
